What does it mean to be a Master Artisan?
Master Artisans have grown up with their craft, having been taught it from a young age by family and community members. Generations of tradition and wisdom are passed down, making these artisans the best in the world. This is not a hobby or past time for these artisans. It is a livelihood, a connection to their ancestors and a genuine expression of self. The beauty contained within each piece acts as a signature, letting you know that what you hold in your hands is one-of-a-kind and filled with a true beauty that can only come from love and the purest of intention.
Today many craft and artisan traditions are being sidestepped for machine made copies as markets move towards fast, cheaper fashion. When you buy a piece made by a Master Artisan, you are not only supporting that person and all of the people that he/she employs in his/her workshop, you are also helping to preserve that community's culture and artistic traditions.
